Celebrate English Wine Week (28th May-5th June) in Cornwall. Choose between tastings at award-winning vineyards, pop-up events or kick back and watch the waves roll in with dinner and a glass of wine,

The Pop-Up

The creation of local wine expert Clio Collar, Van du Vin was born from a frustration that good wine was impossible to find at festivals. Now an established pop-up across Cornwall, Van du Vin will be arriving on Carlyon Beach for intimate wine tasting evenings throughout the summer. In celebration of English Wine Week the first event, on Saturday 4 June, will focus on English wines.

Wine tasting events will also be held on 10 June, 1 July, 29 July, 5 August, 20 August and 3 September. Tickets are available from the Cornish Riviera Box Office.

Tours and Tastings

Trevibban Mill Grand Walking Tour
Trevibban Mill is situated on the slopes of the Issey brook which eventually joins the Camel Estuary close to Padstow in North Cornwall. Every Sunday they offer a two-hour tour of the vineyard, orchards and lakeside followed by a visit to the winery. Taste seven Trevibban wines and enjoy lunch in their beautiful South facing Tasting Room, with views across the valley. 12pm, £30pp.

Camel Valley Wine Tours
Camel Valley is possibly Cornwall’s most famous vineyard, winning awards across the world. A wine maker will personally guide you through the vineyard year and winery process, answering any questions you may have. Afterwards, there will be a wine tasting session (minimum of 5 wines). £15pp, every Wednesday evening at 5.00pm between 1st April and 28th October, with an additional tour at 5.00pm on Thursdays throughout August.

Polgoon Vineyard and Orchard Tours
The tour provides a fascinating insight into the activities of a working vineyard and orchard. Take a look at the production processes in the winery conclude with a tasting of 5 Polgoon products including sparkling wines, still wines and award winning ciders. £10pp, 2pm on Wednesdays, Thursdays or Fridays from 23rd March to the end of September.

Every night our wine expert tastes each of the dishes on that days evening menu and crafts a bespoke wine flight. Often featuring wines not usually available by the glass, this is an amazing way to try the unique wines on our list. We seek out small, artisan producers to bring you a thoughtful and original selection of wines, many of them organic or biodynamic. Three wines cost £25pp, four wines are £35pp.
