We have been serving fresh, locally sourced food since 2009. Led by Head Chef Mike Francis, the team bring together modern European-style dishes with the gusto of Cornwall at its heart. We work with Cornwall’s innovative, organic and sustainable growers, farmers and fishermen to source the best produce the county has to offer – our menus change regularly and with the seasons.
We cater to all dietary requirements, so please let us know in advance and we’ll do everything to make sure you have delicious options to choose from.
Join us for breakfast between 8am and 10.30am.
Careful consideration goes into everything here and breakfast is no different. Our ethos is to use fresh local produce, and we have so many wonderful producers on our doorstep that our menus change daily to reflect this.
We want you to feel at home so if you would like something that isn’t listed, please do not hesitate to ask one of the team and we will do our very best to accommodate your request.
Visitors who aren’t staying with us can reserve a table between 8am and 9am (booking essential).
Lunch and Sunday Lunch
Lunch is served between 12.30pm and 2.15pm.
Whether you are looking to drop in for a mid-week lunch, or spend the afternoon over a long, leisurely Sunday roast, we have a relaxed lunch menu that allows you to eat as little or as much as you like.
You can cherry pick from the menu or enjoy three courses for £24.95, or two courses for £20.95.
Afternoon tea is served between 3pm and 4.30pm.
The Scarlet Champagne Afternoon Tea is a high tea worth celebrating. A glass of our favourite Scarlet champagne, a table overlooking the Atlantic Ocean – a perfect moment to share with a loved one or friend.
The homemade cakes and pastries are delicate and delicious, from lemon tartlets to classical sponges. The sandwiches – made from artisan bread – are made to order. The tea, the only grown in the UK, is from the local Tregothnan estate.
Please provide 24 hours notice as each element is freshly handmade for you.
Dinner is served between 7pm and 9.30pm.
Our dishes are deceptively simple. We let our ingredients breathe rather than smother their freshness, quality and flavour with too many competing elements. Our menus change often and with the seasons.
Enjoy a three course candle-lit meal at your leisure overlooking at Atlantic Ocean. Our wine flight option allows you to explore the wine list by the glass with fantastic wines to compliment each dish. Our wine is about unmediated flavours and cherishing a sense of place – without compromising environmental awareness.
Alongside our dining menu, we offer a vegan tasting menu with complimentary vegan-friendly wines expertly paired by the Scarlet’s Sommelier.
If you wish to sit in the sun with your dog, please ask and this can be arranged on our retreat terrace or reception terrace, if available.
