A little foot massage goes a long way when it comes to your health and wellbeing.
Massaging your whole foot – your heel, instep, arch, toes etc – can spread the relaxing effects to your entire body. So, a gentle and fluid massage of the soles of your feet, arches and toes could help to soothe your entire nervous system.
As ever, it was a great pleasure to be at Scarlet, and even more so this time as it was a lovely sunny afternoon. However, our warm feelings about the venue did not extend to the book under discussion, The Accidental Apprentice by Vikas Swarup. We had high hopes of this book as some of us had greatly enjoyed the film Slumdog Millionaire, which was based on Swarup’s previous book. But having read The Accidental Apprentice we feel it highlights what a good job Danny Boyle did of adapting Swarup’s earlier book into a film because we cannot believe that the author’s style has changed dramatically between the two books!
Nothing quite beats the romance of watching the sunset. Each will be different – depending on where you are, the current weather and cloud formations. Taking the time out to simply sit and watch the natural occurrence that happens every day is incredibly calming, and good for the soul. The best sunset settings tend to be over water, with the golden reflections tinting each wave and puddle.
This is a very simple dish, and one we have on the menu regularly. It has such a wonderful balance – the fresh, light ricotta bringing every thing together.
May and June often brings the best weather of the year in Cornwall with perfect temperatures, quiet beaches and an abundance of wild flowers. We have created a very special seasonal break that makes the most of our outdoor spaces – called the Meadow Break. Mother nature allowing*, you’ll experience spa treatments in our coastal gardens overlooking the sea, afternoon tea with fizz on the retreat terrace and your choice of copper tub bath.
