Whether you are a regular spa worshipper or use the spa for an occasional treat, sometimes it can be daunting to choose the right treatment. With extensive menus and treatments to tempt the body and mind, it’s easy to get caught in indecision.
We asked our spa manager, Caroline, to give us some tips on how to make the most from your time in the Scarlet spa…
Check in with yourself
Take some time out to sit quietly and take a few deep breaths. How are you feeling, and how do you want to feel? Are you longing for pure relaxation and something to switch off the mind, or are you looking to feel energised? Is there a part of you that needs more attention, perhaps your shoulders, or dehydrated skin? This is also a good time to embrace the seasons and see what areas need care – dry, wintery skin? Achy cold joints?
Speak to the spa team
The spa team at the Scarlet know each treatment inside out and will be able to match you with something you will love. They’ll talk you through the process and help you clarify what you would like to get from your time in the spa. The team are available between 8:30am – 7:30pm every day 01637 861 861 from the 31st January.
Love long treatments
There’s a lot of merit in opting for a longer treatment. These give you time to really relax, get comfortable and connect with your therapist. The Scarlet has a number of 90 minute treatments like Shirodhara, our hypnotic Ayurvedic oil pouring. This includes a short consultation with your therapist to identify any out of balance areas before settling in with a soothing Mukabhyanga facial massage.
New to the spa?
If this is your first spa treatment, or you’re new to the Scarlet spa you may want to try a facial or face massage. Alongside all of the benefits to your mind and skin, these treatments are very easy to settle and relax in to.
