“Living and working in the beautiful Cornish countryside, Katrina and I are passionate about capturing the inherent beauty of nature and have developed our popular copper torsos around the concept of falling leaves, using the natural colours produced during the heat treatment and silver soldering to produce an autumnal feel.”
Terence Wagstaff was very interested in art, but having come from a traditional background, was encouraged to go become a tool and prototype maker for Rolls Royce. Moving back to Cornwall in 1982, he met Katrina. Sharing a common interest, they began designing and making decorative metal products, and over the past ten years have merged traditional skills with their interest in art.
Katrina trained as a furniture designer at the London College of Furniture where she applied her creative ideas into three dimensional forms. It was there that she began to enjoy working with metal, appreciating its versatility.
“We are delighted with the success of our sculptures and are now offering clients he option to commission scaled or full-size torsos of themselves, family or friends from photographs or body casts - a modern twist on portraiture.”
