christmas and new year

a very scarlet christmas

Our first Christmas we will be open is 2010 and we plan to make it special.  Our festivities will be delicious, relaxing and very Scarlet.  Through the Christmas break we will keep life warm, festive and simple with a promise of Christmas spirit [rather than a Christmas overdose of gaudy decorations, ho ho ho and egg nog.]

We are looking forward to decorating our tree, welcoming our guests to our house party and serving a memorable Christmas lunch.  Maybe tempting you with the delights of contrast: a bracing swim on Christmas morning, a log fired hot on the cliffs, or a beautiful coastal walk with views of Cornwall and afternoon tea by the fire.

We will welcome you on 24th December 2010 with tea and minced pies on arrival, followed on a number of the evenings by live entertainment before dinner.  Wake up to a champagne breakfast on Christmas morning to get you in the mood for a delicious lunch, followed by a very lazy afternoon by the fire.  As any good host would, we have a few tricks up our sleeve to keep you entertained.  Dip in and out of activities as you please; anything from bush craft, music and movement therapy sessions, beginners dance lessons to a wonderful wine tasting session.

bring in 2011 scarlet style

New Year will be more of the same.  Dig your glad rags out, tuck into delicious gourmet food, make some ‘ooh’s’ and aah’s’ at fantastic fireworks and dance the night away with our band.  Like all good hosts, we have a few tricks up our sleeve in the form of activities each day that you and fellow guests can dip in and out of as you please.

Arrive in time for afternoon tea and a beginner’s dance lesson followed by a Gourmet Dinner with perfectly matched wines on New Years Eve.  There will be a buzzing atmosphere with live entertainment giving you the chance to take to the floor! Toast the New Years with champagne and fireworks at midnight on the retreat terrace.

On New Years Day enjoy a lie in followed by a late brunch.  For those that are brave enough there is a morning wet suit swim to awaken your senses.  If you fancy getting back to basics then why not join in our introduction to bush craft outside, come rain or shine.  For something a bit more relaxing you can take part in our music and movement therapy session. Other activities that you can take part in during your stay include; wine tasting, food forgaing, or just curling up by the fire with a glass of mulled wine!

Arrive in time for tea on the 31st December and depart on 3rd January 2011 for a 3 day Escape this New Year.  This break includes dinner, bed and breakfast each day with a Gourmet Dinner on New Years Eve. Prices to be confirmed.
